28th April 2005 in Amsterdam, Nokia unveiled the N70, the smallest handset in the new N series of devices from the Finnish giant. In fact, Nokia calls the N70 the "world's smallest multimedia computer", a best smartphone without touchscreen.
The Nokia N70 is at a high level considering the reception that is typical of the Nokia smartphones. At 126g in weight with a hot-swappable RS-MMC card slot for external storage, it is truly small enough to be classified as a normally sized phone. But inside that normal package you will find a pair of cameras: one VGA, and the 2 megapixel unit.
The N70 shares most of the features of the two higher-end N series handsets, the N90 and N91. This includes a Series 60 user interface, a new photo gallery system with advanced image editing (red-eye reduction, resizing, etc), and the ability to share playlists created for the stereo media player with other users via Bluetooth.
Unlike Nokia 6630/6680/6681, the N70 will come with an instant image synchronization system that will automatically copy your photos over to your PC when you connect it. Nokia is also building-in support for the Adobe photo album product, letting you name the album when you shoot it instead of having to wait to do that at a later date on the PC.
The Nokia N70 will be launched in the 3Q 2005, the start price will form 650 USD and then will fall to 450 USD.
